Getting married this October, these two crazy kids have packed schedules - so packed that we had to shoot a rare Sunday Engagement Session.  It was worth it.  Anna and Craig brought it, and knocked it out of the park ( Oh!  See – this is foreshadowing as baseball plays a role in their session).  Yes, Lisa just hit me as I wrote that.

We always like to do shoots that the grooms-to-be will also enjoy… you know, aside from the kissy-kissy parts.   Anna and Craig both play ball, so we got some awesome shots of them at a local field.  The next couple of shots are some Sports Illustrated-like lovin’ for Craig… 

Please, no jokes about Craig reaching Third Base, alright?

Last Saturday was packed with sessions – so let’s start things off with the ultra stylish duo of Heather and Geoff.   Their relationship is interesting in that they found each other, moved on, and ultimately rediscovered each other, (wait for it… AS IF DESTINY STEPPED IN) and have been together since.    It’s a great love story – and would make a pretty cool romance movie.   Now, if you threw some real vampires in it (not the sparkle in the sun kind of lame vampires – yeah, I’m talking to you Twilight fans) – then Geoff would be happy and we could continue on with our discussion of Vampires in current cinema (seriously – see the Thirst when you get a chance).

Umm, back to the couple!  They were up for anything (always good).  We’re looking forward to your wedding later this year (and hopefully we won’t have tornado-like winds that day!).  Let’s see some images, eh?

Meet Brent and Joelle.  As South Georgia Wedding Photographers, Lisa and I shoot a lot of engagements and weddings.  We normally find the grooms-to-be somewhat reserved in their enthusiasm during the picture taking process.  Until Brent.  The man is an image producing beast.  We couldn’t throw a shot idea at Brent that he didn’t like – nor did he have any problems coming up with stuff on his own.  Joelle was right there with him though – in the tick infested overgrowth, the deserted buildings, the potential trespassing…    We all had a great time.

November 2009 started off with Ashley and Matt’s fab wedding at Valdosta’s own High Grove Farms. I’d link to them – but they do not appear to have a website yet. This week we bring you a Romeo-Juliet love story. Two crazy kids from South Georgia. Trapped in a star crossed love affair – torn apart by conflicting loyalties. Meet Laramee and Matt!

On the surface – they are a typical sophisticated and stylin’ couple…

Clearly in love. It radiates from them like a solar flare (dig the symbolism – yes?)

Behind the pearly white smiles, and sparkling eyes… lies a secret. A secret that might shatter their relationship (cue cool soap opera organ music)!

You see – they follow different paths! Behold the pathos! (cue more cool soap opera organ music)!

Even though Matt has a scandalous alliance with the Ramblin’ Wreck – Laramee loves him.   He ignores her affiliation with UGA – as he completely adores her.  Will love conquer all?

Ummm… no. To quote the Highlander – there can be only one. Quick lesson to all future grooms – your Bride-To-Be is ALWAYS right.

Lisa and I travelled to the thriving metropolis of Rochelle, Georgia last weekend to shoot an engagement session with Merlin and Whitney.   They get married next year, on May 1st!    They both busted out the modeling skills during this session.  It was a blast!  I also regret Seth having contracted yet another plague from school – ’cause there was some good cooking going on at Mart Mart’s house (where we shot). I really wanted to stay… but we had to head back home to pick Seth up. Ah, Apple Dumplings – I shall miss you.

Now, somehow, Lisa and Whitney conspired to get Merlin to pose for some beefcake (read that as smut) images near the end of their session. Needless to say, those beefcake (again, read that as smut) images will not be appearing on the blog.  I feel… sooooo dirty.

We’re bustin’ out another e-session! Meet Kristy and Jay! They’re getting married in November. Sure, they look full of energy in the following images – but they were dead tired! Jay and Kristy closed on their first home last week (congrats guys), and had been moving in/cleaning/etc the night before our session. Being pretty darn awesome – they put up with our bad puns, dodging cars and trucks, and trips into cotton fields to get some awesome shots!

Long time readers of the blog will know of my kryptonite-like weakness for a wedding sweet bar. Behold my downfall at Kim’s wedding. Oh man, did I fall hard. Lots of sugar is good for you… right?

Kim also had us do a quick photobooth for her wedding. These are always a lot of fun. At this wedding it seemed that Kim was the most popular prop that people liked to use when they posed…

Thanks so much guys for letting us shoot your wedding. Special thanks to Kim’s Dad for stuffing us full of food (over and over – we’re talking like three plates. The guy wouldn’t stop with the plates…)

Last Saturday, Lisa and I started out on the trip to Fitzgerald with a blue sky filled with wonderous white clouds and no hint of rain. By the time we reached the Salon where Katie and her ladies were getting ready – it was raining like crazy! Katie and Curt bravely soldiered on and still walked down the aisle on time! Here are some images from their day…

I’ve mentioned them before, and I made sure to document it this time – behold the wild chickens of Fitzgerald! Dangerous and feral. Known man-eaters. The tiny ones are the real killers…
